Patch Adams marks the third collaboration
between Steve Oekekerk and Tom Shadyac.
Their previous works include the outrageous 
comedies Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and
The Nutty Professor. With Patch Adams,
however, the two graduated to a more realistic
and dramatic, yet still hilarious story based
on the real Hunter Adams.
